What Are The Side Effects Of Depo Provera Injection?

I have recently stopped using the depo shot, iv had my period every month since I was 12 regardless of different birth control methods. except for when I had mirina. I have a daughter who s six now, when I got pregnant with her is the only time I ve missed a period. I ve gone back to using condoms since I stopped getting the depo shot, and I still had a period. however, it is now March and I never received my period for February. I took a pregnancy test but it was negative. idk if it was to early or what. It s stressing me out, what s going on?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Depo Provera is a long acting contraceptive. It act by interfering with ovulation. After withdrawal, normal menstruation & ovulation starts in 4-6 months.
Mostly you are in the process of normalization, Still to exclude pregnancy by blood pregnancy test will help to rule out the doubt.
Thanks.
