Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I take diovan for high blood pressure but lately have been experiencing dizziness at night when I am wake up and roll over the room is spinning and at times I cannot see the numbers on my alarm clock. I started to check my blood pressure and to me has been running low, this morning it was 87/72 and pulse was in the 70 s too.
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query. The symptoms you experience is due to a severe drop in your blood pressure. It means the dose of Diavon is more than you require. If your doctor is available on the phone, you could ask him/her regarding the course of action you should take. If your doctor is not available,I suggest you stop the medicine for a day and then start with half the dose and monitor your blood pressure regularly till you are able to meet him/her for a proper adjustment of dose or change of medication. I am available if you have more queries. Take Care Dr. Noble Zachariah
