General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Duolin contains Levosalbutamol and ipratropium bromide as its ingredient. Levosalbutamol is a short acting broncho dilator prescribed in asthma and COPD patients. Ipratropium bromide is an anticholinergic agent helps in COPD. It acts on the large and medium sized bronchial airways and improves breathing. Common side effects are headache, increased heart rate, anticholinergic response such as dry mouth, tachycardia, flushing, etc. This is safe unless there is overdose which is more than four times a day.

Budecort is a corticosteroid helps to relieve acute inflammation in the bronchial airways. This is not active in acute exacerbations or acute attack of asthma. It is added in addition to the bronchodilators. Side effects are growth disturbance. But there is no significant clinical evidence for growth retardation. Visit the pediatrician for further opinion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
