Hai doctor, I missed my periods about 19 days now, and i went to pregnancy test after 15 days of my missed period the blood result shown negative and i went today hospital the doctor advice me to take tablet DYDROGESTERONE 10mg tablet, IF I take this tablet any chance to, abort if i carry fetus .... and any side effect ... why doctor advice this tablet ... this tablet is not a abortion tablet...

Pregnancy tests can detect the HCG hormone by day 11 to 14 of pregnancy.
By day 15 the test should have been able to detect pregnancy so this means that it is likely truly negative.
The medication given is to help your periods to start but it is not to abort a baby since you are not pregnant.
