What Are The Side Effects Of Effexor?

It seems that the withdraw syptoms of effexor are horrible. I have been on effexor for 2 days . I am wondering If starting on another antidepressant simmilar to affexor would be easier to withdraw from. How many years is effexor normally helpful for befor changing to different med is required?
