Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What effect could or will Fenbendazole for goats have on a human if ingested? A friend has been doing this so as to rid herself of parasites. I know this sounds rather absurd. Is there any medical evidence that this could be harmful or even fatal to a human? Could ingesting this by a human work as it does on an animal or could it cause the onset of some other condition? I am concerned about them taking this drug. I also know the container says not for human use. Again, I know this is wild but I am serious about my inquiry. Thanks
Hello Fenbendazole is similar to the medications used in humans to rid them of intestinal parasites.
While it isn't harmful or fatal to humans she really shouldn't be treating herself and see needs to see a doctor for an evaluation to make sure she has a parasite problem and then to get proper treatment for that
