What Are The Side Effects Of Fluorouracil With Cancer?

I am the caretaker for my husband and he has Parkinson s and is having treatment for Cancer on his head the Dr. wants to put him on Fluorouracil 5% cream I just went on line on You Tube and after seeing what this will do to him I don t think I can put it through that he went through 3 months of radition and that didn t clear it up Dr. said I have to do this or they will have to start cutting I am beside my self. We are true people who want to do the right thing but to put him through this is sacary He is going to a good Dermatologiest And I want to know if I should talk to his Neuroogy Dr. first I have the medicine but scard to start it.

Fluorouracil topical may cause skin irritation, dryness, scaling or peeling (exfoliation), rash, and other local reactions. Eye irritation has also been reported. If these side effects are excessive or worsen with continued treatment.
