General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
Leflunomide (Lefno) and Methotrexate (Folitrax) are the most effective and widely used medications in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA)

Methotrexate is an immunosuppressive drug and it does not contain steroid.
Its most common side effects include mouth ulcers, stomatitis, hair loss, megaloblastic anemia, increased risk of infections, kidney and liver injuries.

Folic acid (Folvite) is a vitamin effectively used to prevent megaloblastic anemias caused by Folitrax. Generally it is a safe medication however it may cause rash, flushing and itching.

Continue taking the medications as prescribed with regular follow ups.

Best regards.
