Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking humira for my RA for a few months now. About a month ago I started getting a small rash on my upper arm and shoulder -- now in the last week it has spread to both arms, down my back And small patches on my legs and buttocks -- I was prescribed prednisone yesterday and just took my second dose today. Is this possibly a reation to humira? I have always had allergic/sensitive skin but this is scaring me.
It is possible that it is a reaction to the humira but allergic reactions can occur to foods, drinks, pollen, chemicals in creams/detergents, other environmental allergens.
There are allergy tests that can be done to determine the source of your allergic reaction. This can be in the form of skin prick testing or a blood test.
I hope this helps
