Hello
Since you are an old diabetic patient ( NIDDM ) type 2 and your doctor advise you sitagliptine+metformine ( istamet ) and glimepride 4 mg .
Sitagliptine never produces anorexia ( loss of appetite) while metformine some times causes loss of appetite .
While glimepride also never causes any loss of appetite.
Since you don't have any appetite but this is not a cause of concern.
When such patient visit in my clinic i.e. diabetic patient . I advise my patient remain away from food maximum as you can do . Because a paerson at your age require only 1000 calories ,not more than this ,so don't worry about appetite , rather be happy that your blood sugar level is somewhat under control.
But for appetite you can take a combination of cyproheptadine+ tricholin+sorbitol ( sugar free ) ,after consultation with your treating physician .
Otherwise also this medicine will adjust within a short period.
Please don't be irritate for appetite.
Good luck.
