What Are The Side Effects Of Janumet XR 50mg/1000mg?

I am type 2 diabetic since 1999. I have been able to control my diabetes quite well until a few years ago and was put on Metformin 1000mg in the morning and 1000mg in the evening. This now not working well for me an now my doctor has put me on Janumet XR 50mg/1000mg one in the morning and one at night. My big concern is side effects of this medication as I am one that looks for natural things to use. I want to know how safe this is.
