hi i m taking lithosun sr tab. everyday , i m taking it since 3 months and now i m feeling that i m gaining weight specially in belly area and another problem i m facing is pimples on my face is above problem is because of LITHOSUN SR ... should i continue the medicine or should i decrease the dose...

Hi,

Lithosun-SR is commonly prescribed in the treatment of mania and bipolar disorder. Its common side effects include increased thirst, increased frequency of urination, acne (pimples), excessive hair growth, confusion, tremors, and weight gain (could be due to hypothyroidism). You need to consult your treating doctor for either dose reduction or an effective alternative but a safer medication to treat your problem. Excessive air or gas in stomach
