Hello Dr. I Debasish Roy from Ranchi. Now my age is 53. My Creatinine is 1.55 & Blood Urea is 38. It s gradually increasing. I m taking LIV-52 DS, continue from last 3 years after Jaundice. Can you tell me the cause of side effect of LIV 52. It can possible to increase of creatinine. Thanking You____
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Liv 52 is a ayurvedic preparation. It helps to recover liver cells following jaundice. It shoud be consumed for only few days. Consuming it for 3 years is not recommended. However, there are no studies to say that it could affect kidney function. Urea levels with 38mg% is on the higher side but within normal limits. Creatininie with 1.55mg% is slightly above normal. It would be better to get evaluated as to what could be the cause for this by consulting Nephrologist. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
