I am taking levaquin 250mg twice a day for bronchitis. My nose and tongue have blisters on them now since I ve been taking the levaquin I ve been taking it for 48hrs. Tonight I have started seeing black squares in my vision. I m wondering if the levaquin could be doing this?
Hello Levaquin 250 mg ( levofloxacin ) is a quinolone type of antibiotics and advised for respiratory tract infection. Its ophthalmic side effects are : Transient decrease in vision,ocular burning, , ocular pain or discomfort ,headache etc . In your case these symptoms may be due to the side effect of levoquin . Sometimes patient feel these side effects only for one or two days . But if these symptoms are bothering you then consult your treating doctor or if you think these symptoms are decreasing in intensity then keep continue the medicine. Hope this will help you.
