What Are The Side Effects Of Metronidazole And Erythromycin?
I ve been on Metronidazole and Erythromycin since Saturday for an abscess on my cheek. I also had two wisdom teeth taken out Saturday. I ve been taking my medication at the right times but right now i feel really ill. Very dizzy, feeling very sick and achey. Do i stop taking them? I m scared the infection won t go away.

Hello,please don't stop your medican as it is required for you,if you stop it chances are that the abscess will worsen and become more infective and you may develop resistance to the drugs .
Your felling of dizzy,ache and sick felling may be due to
1.Not eating your food at regular time or reduced the quantity
2.Your tooth extract may be causing you pain and discomfort due to which your intake is reduced
3.Antibiotics causes slight fatigue ,if it is on reduced food fatigue is more prominent
4. Fluctation in sugar and BP
Your infection will definitely go meanwhile you can
1.Eat balanced food with fruits and vegetables
2.Drink lots of water
3.Take rest
4.Check your BP and sugar level

Erythromycin and Metronidazole are good medicines for your infection.
They have an interaction - Metronidazole increases the blood level of Erythromycin.
Both have side effects mainly gastrointestinal like abdominal pain, nausea and erythromycin can produce dizziness and fainting.
Try reducing the dose of Erythromycin to 250 mg three times a day if you have been taking a higher dose.
If that does not help, I think you should check with your dentist.
