Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Microgynon 30 is a type combined hormonal oral contraceptive pill. It contain two ingredients namely ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel. Since they are hormonal preparations, your body takes sometime to get adjusted to it. Commonly encountered side effects include vomiting, nausea, dizziness, headache, breast tenderness, weight changes, decreased sex drive and change in menstrual bleeding, usually lighter periods or sometimes stopping of periods. Some of these symptoms is what you are experiencing. These symptoms is seen during the initial phase of drug intake and should subside gradually with regular use. Chances of pregnancy when you are on such pills when taken regularly is less than 1%. Hence you need not be worried about it much.
