What Are The Side Effects Of Microgynon ED?

my period end on 7th septemeber and on the same day i have sex with my boyfriend the sperm went inside my vagina... so iam not ready to be a mother, i got this tablet microgynon ED and ferrous fumarate (family planning pills) i dont know how to take this pills.... plizzz help me.... 21 beige coloured. 7 brown coloured tablets....

Hi..welcome to hcm..
Initially I would like to tell you that you have only very very little chance of becoming pregnant if you had sex on the last day of periods.If you have a 28 day cycle,the chances of you being pregnant are high only between 10th and 16th day of your cycle(day one being the day in which your periods started)
Secondly I want to tell you the method of contraception after unplanned unprotected sexual intercourse.For that we prescribe levonorgestrel(epill) tablet 1.5mg within 72 hours(earlier the better)
Thirdly I want to tell you how to use combined oral contraceptive pills(Microgynon Ed).It contains 21 hormonal tablets and 7 iron tablets.You have to take one tablet a day from the packet in order(i.e for first 21 days take only the hormonal tablet and then only take the iron tablet for the next 7 days).It is a very effective contraceptive method with low chances of failure if you take it regularly and continuously.If you want to become pregnant again you just need to stop taking these pills.
