What Are The Side Effects Of Mtpill?
Hi i am 30 years old... my last LMP started on the 15th of september and after 4 days of normal periods i started spotting which lasted for about 12 days... my doctor put me on Modus 10 mg for a week.. but after 7 days of the last dose of Modus i still didnt get my periods... pregnancy tests are all negative... so i panicked as i have a very imp family wedding on the 19 th of october i took MTPILL on the 13th night... plz guide me when will i get my periods and what side effects can i have..

MT pill tablet contains mifepristone which is an anti pro-gestational steroids class of drug used for medical termination of pregnancy. It works by blocking the action of progesterone, essential hormone for the growth of pregnancy. You may or may not experience vaginal bleeding or spotting after taking MT Pill. After 48 hours of taking MT Pill tablet, your doctor shall examine you and may prescribe you another Misoprostol like MT Pill for complete termination of pregnancy. After 14 days of taking MT Pill tablet, your gynecologist may run some blood tests or perform ultrasonography to confirm whether the pregnancy has been terminated or not.
Side effects of MT Pill tablet are nausea, vomiting, uterine cramps, diarrhea, infection following abortion, uterine bleeding, sleeplessness, decreased appetite, dizziness, headache, weakness, fever, chills, allergic reactions etc. Most of these side effects are mild and go away eventually. If these side effects persist for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor promptly for medical attention.
