Hi I am Reshmi. age 36. from Kolkata India. One doctor suggested to take ovigyn dsr for pregnency. last 3 years i used yashmin as contraceptive. Could you please tell me what is the function for Ovigyn DSR and is there any side effect? Please suggest
Hello You are trying to conceive for 3 years and took yasmin for it ,now your doctor advised OVYGIN dsr . This is a human chorionic gonadotrophin hormone . It is a placental hormone and having alpha and beta subunits. It alpha subunit is similar to LH FSH ( FOLLICULAR STIMULATING HORMONE & TSH. Ovygyn also stimulates corpus luteum ,so it produces progesterone ( help in stabilization of fertilized ovum , if any). So your gynae advised this for infertility and conception . Take as advised by your gynaecologist. Good luck.
