Dear Mrs. Mehta, Hi & Welcome.

P-250 oral suspension contains Paracetamol 250 mg/5ml.

It is commonly prescribed to reduce fever as in case of cold and flu and other conditions.

The usual recommended dose of Paracetamol is 15 mg/kg body weight to be given every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100 F.

Based on the recommended dose given above, kindly check the body weight of your daughter and administer the drops as suggested above.

In order to reduce the temperature you may also give her cold sponging and see that she takes enough oral fluids.

In case if fever does not subside infection she should be examined by a pediatrician to rule out infections.

Generally Paracetamol is very safe medication its adverse effects are rare but an allergic reaction of the skin in the form of rash can occur.

If taken in very large doses for shorter periods it may cause liver damage.

Hope these answer your query.
