Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been prescribed the high blood pressure drug Ramipril approx in May/14 ( 20 mg. A day ) and have now had An ultrasound for R side pain and have been diagnosed as having multiple tiny gallstones. Could the Ramipril have caused the gallstones? I have never had pain like that previously Thank you ! Zel
The common side effects of Ramipril and other ACE inhibitors, the class of drugs which includes Ramipril are dry cough and loss of taste. Pain in abdomen due to gall stones is not a known side effect to ramipril and unlikely to be related to the drug
