What Are The Side Effects Of Risperidone Tablets?

Hi I am currently on Resperidone but got took of it before because of a side effect I did not like I have been on other medication but due to side effects got took of it do you think if I got took off it and put onto something else short term and put back on it these hunger feelings would go away? The reason I`m saying go back on it is because it helps me sleep at night.

Risperidone is an antipsychotic drug that belongs to second generation antipsychotics drugs. Most common side effects with this drug are-

- Nausea, vomiting, restlessness during start of therapy.
- Sedation, drowsiness, increased appetite, weight gain are also very common.
- In high doses it can cause extrapyramidal symptoms like tremors, excessive salivation, restlessness, akathisia, mask like facies, dystonia etc.

High doses can cause severe dystonia which can cause respiratory difficulty.
