Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Safi is a 'Unani' medicine which claims to be a blood-purifier.
According to the manifacturers, it states that the medication corrects the digestive system, relieves constipation, prevents and cures boils, pimples, and skin eruptions. It contains Sana, Revand Chini, Neem, Chiraita and Tulsi as its ingredients.
However, in 2005, several agencies abroad have found that Safi contained high levels of arsenic. Hence it could cause certain untoward effects on health with its use.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
