What Are The Side Effects Of Simvastatin Overdose?
my husband thinks he has doubled his does of Simvastatin for about 2 months, he thinks he took 80 mg in the morning and at night. he went through his prescription early. he is 72 years old, does not have any muscle weakness, said his urine is a little dark. can he overdose on these pills?

Simvastatin is a lipid lowering agent and dose advised maximum is 40 mg / day ,that too in tow divided doses but your husband took 80 mg twice for 2 months .
Any how now , get in blood for "PLASMA CREATING PHOSPHO KINASE (CPK ) , muscular myopathy . Also get in for ocular examination .
Also get in LIVER FUNCTION TESTS .If any abnormality then consult your treating physician .
Because the main side effects are more on liver and kidneys.
