Hello
Glyciphage is metformin and beside in diabetes it is also uses for Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease ( PCOS ) .
Cysts are often caused by hormone changes. Using metformin can sometimes help regulate hormonal levels ( it is believed and scientifically proved , but , why , idiopathic reason ) so that the cysts can be taken care of .
Your gynae will likely want you to come back after you have been on glyciphage to see if cyst is gone. At that time doctor may suggest you stop using the medication or , if indicated you may need to continue it for a bit longer time .
As far as concerned about side effects of this medicine , these are minor in comparison its benefit specially for ( nausea, vomiting, rash malabsorption of B12 , flushing etc).
While siphene is clomifene and indicated for : Anovulatory infertility.
Dosage ;50 mg daily for 5 days starting from 5th day of menstrual cycle or at any time if there is amenorrhea .
If ovulation does not occur , a 2nd course of 100 mg for 5 days may be used commencing as early as 30 days after the previous therapy.
Further treatment may not be recommended if PREGNANCY has not occurred after a total of 6 treatment cycles.
Side effects are( clomifene 0 breast enlargement , flushing , depression nausea , weight gain, dizziness fatigue ( but most of patient can tolerate this very well ).
In my opinion your treatment is on perfect line , so keep it as advised .
Good luck.
