Hello, As you have mentioned a fluctuating blood pressure between 135/80 to 140/87 both this shows an increased B.P as well as pulse pressure. Your doctor started with minimum dose so not think about side effects. As you wish to know about the side effect which are- Dryness of mouth, dry cough, tiredness, fatigue, light headedness, nausea, diarrhoea, neutropenia. One more think do not try to stop medication by your self, always ask your doctor before stopping as the complications of high blood pressure are serious like sudden stroke, arteriosclerosis, CAD, Peripheral artery disease, renal failure. Try to control your weight, and your blood cholesterol, triglyceride should be within normal limit.
