Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
On 2/4 I had minor outpatient surgery for carpel tunnel/cubital tunnel. I had a minor reaction to the Zofran with involuntary movements of the other hand and was told to consider that an allergic reaction and to avoid that drug. I am still experiencing extreme fatigue, some grogginess, and am sleeping much more than is usual for me. I have come to the conclusion that this fatigue must still be from the anesthesia. Is it possible to take this long to get the drugs out of my system? I have a history of negative reactions to medications so take very little of anything and find half a dose usually works. I also experienced headache (rare for me) for two days after surgery, along with intense itching. I keep smelling a vinegar odor as well so am curious about that. I know this will all eventually cure so am mainly curious, but since I have to have the other hand and elbow operated on soon I would like answers. Thank you for any information.
