What Are The Side Effects Of Avoiding Lisinopril Intake?
I was on 10mg of lisinopril due to postpartum high blood pressure. My ob said I can stop taking it due to my bp is fine again. Is there any side effects from stopping it cold turkey? Today is day 2 and I m feeling like my heart is beating fast over every movement. I m also feeling some anxiety.
It is unlikely for this drug t cause any withdrawal symptoms. However, a concerned that stopping this drug would not be a wise medical decision. Your blood pressure is normal because of the use of this rug and not because the condition has gone away. Unless it was clearly marked s caused by a specific condition, which is unlikely seen the medication you are taking, you should never stop your medication. I am certain the blood pressure numbers would go rising again as you stop this medication. Please, ask your doctor what the reasons are and why she now thinks you no longer need this drug. If she were not the one you got you on this medication, be double cautious bout doing so.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you for using our services and feel free to ask for more information if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
