What Are The Side Effects Of Blood Thinners?

I am on blood thinners and have always bruised easily. Recently, I have been prescribed a water pill and blood pressure medication. I had a muscle cramp the am on my left foot . After a few brief seconds, numbness subsided and foot straightened out. Very little pain. 7 hours later, I now have a very large bruise on the side/heel. Still no pain. Should I be concerned?

Hello,
welcome to Healthcare Magic,
Easy bruising , and increased bleeding chances after any cuts or abrasions is common side effects with any blood thinner.
So their risks vs benefits must weighed according to your clinical problem. If you have any heart problems or any previous vascular events its better to continue. All this matter has to be discussed with your treating physisician.
