What Are The Side Effects Of Drinking Alcohol While On Sildenafil?
My doctor just prescribed 20 mg sildenafil tablets and said I should start with 1. I ve read about alcohol and sildenafil. It seems moderate drinking is OK but not excessive drinking. They warn against drinking heavily and taking sildenafil stating it can cause headaches, fainting or even stroke. If I am going to a party and could be drinking in excess, it is safe to take the sildenafil first, have sex and then go out? How long after 20 mg of sildenafil is it OK to have more than a few?

As per my clinical experience, the excess of alcohol will affect hormone levels, drug metabolism pathway via the liver, alterations in acetylcholine, norepinephrine and other neurotransmitters.
So it is not recommended at all to consume sildenafil along with moderate to severe alcohol consumption (either prior or after the same).
