Hi Kailash, I read your question carefully and I am sorry about your symptoms.
Since as you yourself say you have seizures whenever you try to interrupt treatment then I am afraid you will have to take treatment for many years possibly forever. Only when one is without seizures for at least two years can it be considered to gradually reduce treatment until interrupted.
In terms of long term side effects, Enchorate (
Valproic acid) and Tegrital are thought to cause bone loss in the long term and calcium and vitamin D can be taken to prevent that. Also if you have taken them since childhood they do affect brain development growing up. They both can have plenty of other shorter term side effects in some people but you should already have experienced them, so no need to scare you for nothing. I don't know whether you're a male or female, if you're a woman they can also be harmful to your baby if pregnant.
Perhaps it might be considered changing at least
Tegretol, perhaps substitute it with
Lamotrigine which has fewer side effects and when used in combination with Enchorate can allow for a lower dose of each drug, because they add to each others effect. Discuss that with your doctor.
I hope to have been of help.
