In terms of long term side effects, Enchorate (Valproic acid) and Tegrital are thought to cause bone loss in the long term and calcium and vitamin D can be taken to prevent that. They both can have plenty of other shorter term side effects in some people but you should already have experienced them, so no need to scare you for nothing.
