Hi,
I-pill or emergency pill contains high doses of a progestogen which alters the hormonal milieu of the body thereby avoiding conception. If ovulation has already occurred, it makes fertilization difficult and if ovulation is yet to occur, it can inhibit the process. If you are in the safe period of your menstrual cycle, you need not worry about conception and the pill is not needed. If you are in the ovulatory period, you have chances of conception as pre-ejaculate contains enough sperm to fertilize an ovum. Emergency pill can cause withdrawal bleeding and delay the next normal period by a week or two, apart from the other side effects of progesterone. Hope this helps.
