What Are The Side Effects Of Laproscopic Hyst Procedure?

I had a total laproscopic hyst 5 wees ago, was fine, no bleeding, went back to work aftr 3 weeks...have started bleeding bright red blood, not heavy...no pain. I bleed for a day, stoppped, now a day later has started, now stopped again. Have called my dr, says I may have strained a little, but this can happen up yo 6 weeks post op and not to worry unless it gets heavy. Is this OK?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Post hysterectomy bleeding is very common. It is normal and nothing to worry unless it is heavy and not controlled.

So don't worry much about that. It will stop by its own. If it remains persistent then consult your gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hardik Sanghvi
