Hi,

Logynon tablet contains both ethinyl estradiol and levonorgesterol which is used to prevent unwanted pregnancy from unprotected sexual intercourses. It is also used to treat heavy, painful or irregular periods. Health risks or side effects of Logynon are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, indigestion, heartburn, headache, stomach upset, dry mouth, fatigue, changes in appetite, irregular uterine bleeding, spotting or breakthrough bleeding between periods, changes in body weight, vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, breast tenderness and enlargement, changes in sleep cycle, delayed wound healing, easily bruising or bleeding, acnes, facial hair growth, changes in sexual drive, weakness, tiredness, mood swings, depression, allergic reactions etc.

Switching between the mini pill and combined pill is straight forward. A person needs to start the first pill of the new pack of different type of oral contraceptive pill straight away. Using a backup method like condoms or another form of barrier protection during the first pack of the new pill ensures protection from unintended pregnancy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
