Hi,

Meprate contains medroxyprogesterone that is used in the regulation of menstrual cycles and ovulation, stopping irregular bleeding, restoring the normal menstrual periods in case of amenorrhoea or complete cessation of menstrual periods due to hormonal imbalance. Meprate may cause weight gain. Other side effects of this medication are nausea, vomiting, headache, sweating, abdominal pain, indigestion, GIT upset, changes in sleep pattern, breast tenderness and enlargement, facial hair growth, acnes, delayed wound healing, changes in appetite, mood swings, depression, fatigue, unusual weakness and tiredness, easily bruising or bleeding, changes in sex drive, vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge, allergic reactions etc. Polycystic ovarian disease or PCOD is a common cause of female infertility but it is a treatable condition and having PCOD doesn't mean you can't become pregnant. Most women with PCOD will become pregnant with a combination of lifestyle modifications, weight reduction, changing in food habits and medications like metformin, clomid, birth control pills or fertility medications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
