What Are The Side Effects Of Methylestrenolone 5mg And Methyl Estradiol 0.3mg?
My new baby is 3months old and my wife missed her period this month. She was suppose to see it on the 22nd of July 2014 till now. I met a doctor who gave Levonorgestrel tablet and Gynaecosid (Methyloestrenolone 5mg & Methyloestradiol 0.3mg). She is breast feeding. Pls can she take thses drugs.
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I have read you history carefully. Have you undergone a pregnancy test? if yes, was it positive or negative? I did not understand why your doctor has given levonorgestrel bacause it is used as emergency contraception and should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse and not when period is missed. Levonorgestrel is not harmful to breast feeding infant if taken during breast feeding. Gynaecosid as regular method of contraception and also used in case of missed periods where pregnancy test is negative. It should not be used during lactation as estrogen component can adversely affect quality and quantity of breast milk. Hope this will be helpful. Do ask if any further question is there. Thanks for using HCM. Take care.
