Hello!
Metoprolol (seloken) belongs to a group of antihypertensive drugs that is called betablockers. It is a beta 1 cardioselective blocker. It reaches its effect by blocking beta1 receptor, so they cannot respond to adrenergic stimulation.
Dizziness is the most common side effect of metoprolol.
Cold extremities is also another side effect of metoprolol, but rarely.
If you have these complaints, and they persist, i would suggest to talk to your doctor and find another drug that can substitute metoprolol. It can be another betablocker, or drugs from other groups can be used. Some antihypertensive groups are ACE inhibitors, ARB inhibitors, diuretics, calciium channel blockers etc. It's not clear in your question if
amlong stopped, but if you're taking them both, you should check your blood pressure frquently, as the risk of
hypotension is greater with the twou drugs used concomitantly.
I hope i have been of help.
