Hello,
- These drugs are commonly used in combination to promote a successful conception
-
Siphene is a drug that helps stimulate your ovaries to produce eggs --> Ovulation induction
- Can occasionally cause hot flashes,
nausea,
bloating, etc.
-- Susten is a drug that contains
progesterone and helps prepare your uterus for a successful fertilization followed by maintaining the pregnancy
- Can occasionally cause
headaches, nausea, breast tenderness, etc.
- There are no major side effects that you should experience with these drugs
- Make sure you take these drugs regularly, at the same time every day. And as per your OBGYNs advise, time intercourse with the siphon doses (5-10 days after taking the pills)
- You should also have your PCP look into your TSH which is just above normal. You may need to repeat the test at a different point of your menstrual cycle.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pranav Balakrishnan, General & Family Physician
