What Are The Side Effects Of Snorting Coccaine?

I noticed my 19 year old son was unable to sleep last night. When i confronted him this morning at 5 am, I noticed he had clammy hands, face and he was breathing rapidly. After a while he admitted that he had snorted cocaine (six lines). Not sure exactly how much much know it's a lot. After 13 hours of him doing cocaine he still has the same symptoms and after checking his heart beat, I noticed it's too fast. should I take him to the ER?

It would be a good idea to get him seen if he's still having symptoms, especially rapid heartbeat and breathing. There might be something else going on. Cocaine can be damaging to the heart and perhaps he has an underlying heart problem that the cocaine set off. At the ER they can do an EKG and be sure the heart rhythm is normal. They may also be able to give him something that can calm him down and slow the rate if it is abnormally fast. So, yes, get him to the ER promptly. Hope this helps.
