Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi
Welcome to the healthcaremagic
Solopred contains solumetrol which is potent glococorticoid(steroid)Side effects of single doses are less. But if taken repeatedly then it can cause serious side effects. Here are some of them
.increased incidence of opportunistic infections and flaring up of existing infection and tuberculosis
.hypoglycemia
.electrolyte imbalance
.high blood pressure
.cataract
.Osteoporosis
Smoking at 13 years is dangerous and for that he needs rehabilitation
Happy to help you
Best regards
