What Are The Side Effects Of Steroid-muscular Injection?
I had a steroid-muscular injection (8 mg of the medication) for my cold symptoms a week ago. My cold is better, but I feel tired and low energy now. I am worried about side effects of the medication. Is it possible to see any side effects, such as low energy, brittle bone, etc. after one shot of steroid??
One dose of steroid injection will not produce any side effects. But generally steroids are not prescribed in acute infections since it will suppress immunity and mask symptoms.
Kindly check your temperature and consider taking antibiotics in case of any cold symptoms.Pain killers can be taken since musculoskeletal pain can present as fatigue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards Dr.Saranya Ramadoss, General and Family Physician
