Hi there, apologies if i ve chosen the wrong specialist field!! i am currently taking rigevidon and i have two weekends of important event coming up and would prefer to not have the worry of my period on either weekend.. is it ok for me to continue onto the 2nd pack of 21-pills and missing the 7 day period of not taking rigevidon? would you recommend finishing the 2nd pack so it doesnt confuse the days or only take them for aslong as i need to.. or are there any helath complications from continuing the second pack or is this a normal thing for women to do?
More accurate answer might have possible if you have mentioned your age and since how many days you are taking the Rigevidonoral contraceptive pills. Anyhow, according to your history, the points that can help you are: - As you want to to postpone the periods for two weeks better to continue the second pack of the oral contraceptive pills without giving gap as you mentioned. By continuing the second pack immediately after the first back you can have around 42 days of period free time. - If you take the tablets in the second pack only for 2 weeks and stop you can get the withdrawal bleeding in the middle of the cycle which will affect the cyclical regularity as you mentioned.
It is better to complete all the 21 pills in the second pack, after stopping that, you will get the withdrawal bleeding and then onwards you can continue as per the schedule. The general possible complications that you can expect by continuing 2nd pack are comparatively little more dysmenorrhea and more bleeding than normal menstrual cycles.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
