MT pill contains mifepristone which is an anti pro-gestational steroids class of drug used for medical termination of pregnancy. It works by blocking the action of
progesterone, essential hormone for the growth of pregnancy. It is used up to week 10 of pregnancy ( up to 70 days after the first day of your last menstrual cycle. You can take this medication whenever you need for medical termination of pregnancy after consulting your gynecologist.
Side effects of MT pill are nausea, vomiting,
uterine cramps, diarrhea, infection,
uterine bleeding, headache, dizziness, decreased appetite, difficult or painful urination,
sleeplessness, difficult and painful breathing, loss of strength, unusual tiredness and weakness, pain in the arms and legs, chest pain, confusion, cough, sweating, back pain,
hypoglycemia, fatigue, allergic reactions etc. Most side effects don't require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you are worried about them.
