What Are The Side Effects Of Tonsils And Adenoids In A Child?

My almost 2 yr old had his tonsils and adenoids out a little over a week ago. He has told me three different days that his arm hurts. Today he pointed to his armpit. I m concerned that it could be a blood clot. He doesn t seem too bugged by it, so it must not be very painful.
