What Are The Side Effects Of Using IUD?

Hi , I have the contraceptive implant , i am at uni and living with another female , my periods dont seem to stop , i have had the implant for 3 months and i know they say it will settle down after 6 months but i am really worried and its affecting my relationship with my partner , i dont know if somthing is wrong or wether because i am living with a female my body is sencing when she is on ??
