Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have smoked marijuana for 2 and a half years now with no problems. Just recently on my 20th Birthday I developed a bad rash all over my body, and I think it was about an hour after I smoked. It has gone away during the day but when I get home and smoke it almost instantly comes back. Does this mean I have instantly formed a allergy to marijuana?
Cannot say in your particular case. Most likely. Yes. The quality control of marijuana where it is not legalized is very poor and it often has both other drugs of abuse and other chemicals (pesticides). There can be reactions to this or to the marijuana. Allergic reactions vary over time but they are unlikely to go away in the short term and more often get worse. They can even become much worse and be associated with fatal allergic reactions in the lungs.
