What Are The Side Effects Of Vaccination?

HI am looking for a pediatricians' professional opinion on the importance or risks of immunizing infants. I have done online research and found that not immunizing your child can result in a higher risk to contract measles, rubella, chicken pox, pertussis, etc. I have also learned that immunizations can be linked to allergic reactions, possibly to autism, ADHD, etc. Thank you, Sarah

Hi Sarah , I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

All childhood vaccines are safe to use and serious adverse events following these vaccinations to be rare.

As of now there is no evidence suggesting any causal relation between vaccines and autism ,ADHD , etc. Moreover thimerosal ( which is point of controversy) has been removed or reduced to trace amounts in all childhood vaccines .

Risk of not immunizing is high putting your child at risk of vaccines preventable diseases .There is no end of this controversy of vaccines and autism , but there is rigorous pre-license trials and post-license monitoring of vaccines to be assure safety of vaccines.
