In 1995 i started having migraines i was in my 20s and had never had a migraine before. A CAT scan was done and then an MRI. I was diagnosed with and Arachnoid cyst, at the time the DR s told me it was no big deal and I was fine. Lately I have noticed I m having more headaches. Like my head is in a vice, more migraines, floaties in my vision and trouble focusing my eyes, and more issues with hearing things. I m also having more problems with my memory and some time I ve got what needs to be called impaired judgment. Could the cyst by growing and starting to cause more issues?
Yes, it is possible that the cyst could be growing in size and impringing on the adjacent surfaces causing headache. More probable factor could be that the cyst may have been capsulated by the normal cns lining cells which secrete cerebrospinal fluid. Extra cells mean extra secretion of csf, enlargement of brain ventricles(where the csf actually flows in and through) and causation of compressive symptoms over various organs like headache, blurring vision, hearing and balance related issues, and there on. Get an mri and consult a neurologist.
