Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Anticus Syndrome?
I have constant inflammatory pain in my left forearm wrist elbow for months. At first I thought it was just carpal tunnel. However it is my non dominant arm. I have practiced decent ergonomic posture while performing my job pharmacist by trade. I don t even really twist or crank on vials like most in my profession. I work at a federal facility where we have heavier fire safety doors which I think are pulling my ribs near my upper sternum out of plAce per my chiropractic. I recognize I have long standing cervical c3-c7 problems from looking down with my job. I know I probably need regular chiropractic adjustments but do you have any suggestions for me. My chiropractor thought I had scalenus anticus syndrome. If I do, what would you suggest?
Hello I have studied your case. There can be possibility of nerve compression leading symptoms. I will advise you MRI spine and EMG NCV study for confirming diagnosis. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and Tens may give you relief. many of my patients get relief with methylcobalamine and neurotropic medication like pregabalin so you can also start consulting your doctor. I hope I have answered your questions. If you have further questions please feel free to contact us. I will be happy to answer. Take care.
