What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Breast Cancer?
I am 36 years old. I had a mammogram done 3 weeks ago and it showed 2 new areas of concern since my last mammogram, which has been a couple years now. I went back in for a diagnostic mammogram. The same 2 areas came up, but they are deep within. They performed an ultrasound and the technician had a hard time finding the areas. The radiologist came in and did the ultrasound with the same issue. He stated that there are the 2 new areas that are a concern, partly because they were not present before and becasue they are 2 areas of concern. Breast cancer runs in my mother and maternal grandmother. He stated the diagnostic was inconclusive and to come back in 5-6 months to see if there is further growth and if so they will do a biopsy. What does this mean? Are they being cautious before deciding to do a biopsy?
